Vinyl and aluminum siding materials

To be verified whilst vinyl and aluminum work is underway
 

  • The underneath of the start jacket must be covered in aluminum.
  • The aluminum flashing above each opening must make these watertight against all water seepage.
  • An expansion joint must be used for the floor on the 2nd floor, to prevent cracking.
  • The front cornice must be level, straight, securely fixed and not have any bumps.
  • The exterior ventilation outlets must be covered with a plastic sealant.
  • The electric pole must be fixed securely to the house.
  • Check that the aluminum sheets are properly level and aligned.

  • Sealant joints around openings
  • Capping for garage doors and columns
  • Soffit and fascias 
  • Labor and materials 

Practical tips

If you hire a subcontractor for this work, ask him to supply the materials.
