Trusses and floor joists

To be verified whilst construction work is underway

• Upon delivery of your building materials, check with the carpenter that the delivery contains the correct quantity of trusses and floor joists.
• Check that there is no breakage in any of the joists or trusses delivered.
• Check that there is an adequate location for the trusses and floor joists to be delivered. These building materials take up a lot of space on a construction site and can be harmful for other workers. Make sure that you plan diligently in this regard.

To be included in the contract

• Wooden floor joists 
• I-shaped joists
• Metal floor joists

Practical tips

If there are trusses missing from the order, or if there is an error, do not hesitate to call your supplier representative. Your carpenter will generally bill you if you ask him to sort out this problem. In order to avoid this, let the supplier know and they will generally manufacture the missing or defective items, and deliver them to the construction site within a reasonable timeframe.
