- Check the condition of the thresholds after the work.
- Inspect the plumbing apparatus prior to and after the work.
To include in the contract

Practical tips
If you choose to have a mortar bed under the ceramic, advise the beam supplier. The additional weight of the concrete may have altered the weight-bearing calculation for the floor. Inform the finishing carpenter and all the subcontractors who will be affected by this change.
A contour tile around the shower provides a resilient finish.
A contour tile around the podium is compulsory.
A silicone joint between apparatus and ceramic tiles facilitate maintenance.
Marble thresholds are very fragile. It is therefore important that they be well supported and the bases straight.
Check your tiles upon delivery (colors, dimensions), before the tiler lays them.
Inform the tiler of the location of electrical appliances, by referring to the markings at the base of the wall.
Choose quality tiles.
At the time of purchase, order some extra tiles in case of breakage.
