Concrete finishing

To be verified whilst concrete finishing work is underway

  • Room temperature should enable normal concrete drying
  • Protect the concrete from rain (balcony and garage threshold)
  • Tell the finisher the thickness of the concrete required
  • Make sure that the thickness of the concrete is respected
  • Make sure that the finisher does not dilute the concrete too much with water
  • Make sure that the finisher uses a level so that the pour is straight with the necessary slopes (basement + garage floor drain tile)
  • Make sure to wait until the water has gone out of the concrete before proceeding with the floor finishing, otherwise the top of the concrete will be very powdery once it has dried.
  • Make sure to incorporate air into the garage and balcony concrete

To include in the contract

  • Finishing by hand
  • Finishing by machine in the garage
  • Sealer in garage

Practical tips

For the balcony finishing, we advise you to purchase 30MPA concrete. This concrete is much more resistant in the long term and is put on the front of your house.
